<h1>IPG appoints co-chief investment officer.</h1><div><br>The independent broker-dealer and RIA has made a new senior appointment.<br><br>Investment Placement Group (IPG) has promoted <strong>Rafael Benrey</strong> to the role of co-chief investment officer (CIO).<br><br>San Diego-based Benrey was previously a senior investment strategist and vice president at IPG where he oversaw its asset allocation strategy.<br><br>In his new role, Benrey will oversee all of IPGs investment activities and strategies related to asset allocation and alternatives investments, the firm said in an internal memo announcing his new role<br><br>This is a well-deserved recognition of Rafaels hard work, impact, and contributions to IPG over the past six years, according to the memo.</div>
