Swiss Re, a reinsurance provider, has recently appointed AXIS’ Peter Mondi as Head of Distribution Management, North America.
He joins Swiss Re after an eight-month stint at AXIS Capital, where he served as Strategic Broker Relationship Leader, Global Distribution.

AXIS Capital Holdings Limited ("AXIS Capital" or "AXIS" or the "Company") (NYSE: AXS) today announced that Sara Mitchell has been appointed as its future Head of Global Markets. She succeeds Mark Gregory who will retire from the Company in March of 2025 following a career that spans five decades in the industry including 15 years with AXIS. During his time with AXIS, Mr. Gregory has been instrumental in helping grow the Companys global presence as a specialty insurance leader. Ms. Mitchell, who previously served as Divisional President of Chubbs Continental Europe and MENA business, will join the Company on November 25 as Strategic Advisor to the Head of Global Markets and will be a member of the Companys Executive Committee. Ms. Mitchell, who will be based in London, will assume the role of Head of Global Markets on January 1, 2025 as part of a planned leadership succession process and will report to AXIS President and CEO Vince Tizzio. "We are grateful to Mark for his tremendous leadership and years of service to AXIS. He has played a crucial role in helping elevate AXIS as a global specialty leader," said Mr. Tizzio. Mr. Gregory joined AXIS in January of 2010 as CEO of its International Division and is presently a member of the Companys Executive Committee in his current role as Head of Global Markets, where he has led the division since its formation. Prior to AXIS, Mr. Gregory spent 15 years at Marsh where he held a series of leadership positions including CEO roles for both Bowring Marsh and Marsh Global Markets. He started his insurance career with Sedgwick Group in 1980. In addition, Mr. Gregory has served on the Boards of both the International Underwriting Association (IUA) and Lloyds Market Association (LMA). Previously, she served in managerial roles at RSA and Allianz Insurance.

Sara is the Divisional President for Continental Europe & the Middle East, North Africa at Chubb, a role she has held since June 2021. She has been with Chubb for 13 years and 7 months, previously serving as Divisional President, Head of Corporate Division UK&I, Vice President of Specialty Personal Lines for Europe, AsiaPac & Eurasia, and Director of Specialty Personal Lines for Europe & Eurasia. Prior to her current position, she was Head of Schemes - Commercial from June 2006 to March 2011, and held roles as Chief of Staff and Broker Development Manager - Risk Solutions at RSA. Between September 2002 and May 2006, she worked in various roles at Allianz Insurance.

Sara holds an ACII from the Chartered Insurance Institute (2002 - 2005) and studied Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry and Organic Chemistry at The University of Manchester (1998 - 2001).

Mr. Shroff will lead the development of a suite of specialty coverages in support of the life sciences industry, with an initial focus on Products Liability, Professional Liability, and Clinical Trials Liability. Bringing extensive underwriting experience and knowledge of life sciences, Mr. Shroff joins AXIS from The Doctors Company Specialty Underwriters where he was Vice President. He also previously worked at Chubb, ACE, and CNA. Mr. Shroff will be based in New York and will report to Michael McKenna, Head of AXIS North America. Pranav is the Head of Life Sciences at AXIS (AXIS Capital), a position he has held since September 2024. Prior to this, he served as Vice President of TDC Specialty, Life Sciences at TDC Specialty Underwriters, Inc. from May 2021 to September 2024. He began his career at Chubb in August 2014 as an Executive Underwriter for Life Sciences and was promoted to Assistant Vice President, a role he held until May 2021. From June 2011 to July 2014, he worked as a Life Sciences Underwriting Specialist at CNA Insurance.

Pranav holds a BS in Economics from Rutgers University.
