<div><br>Justin Onuekwusi has left Legal & General Investment Management to join St James’s Place as the wealth management giant’s chief investment officer.<br><br>Onuekwusi will join his new firm in October, reporting to director of investments Tom Beal.<br><br>He brings more than two decades experience across investment management, most recently as head of retail investments, EMEA and head of retail multi-asset funds at LGIM.<br><br>He has also held previous roles with Aviva investors, Merrill Lynch and Aon Consulting.<br><br>Onuekwusi was awarded the Freedom of the City of London in 2020 for his work promoting and campaigning for diversity in the asset management industry.<br><br>He is co-founder of the Diversity Project and its #TalkAboutBlack campaign and launched the #IAM social media campaign in 2020 alongside BlackRocks Gavin Lewis and Impaxs Darren Johnson in order to break down racial stereotyping and allow black members of the asset management community - and allies - to define their own identities and narratives.<br><br>Beal said Onuekwusi will lead the development of SJPs "investment proposition, asset allocation approach and selection of our fund managers", working with the firms investment committee and in-house investment team.<br><br>"He will support the continual evolution of our investment management approach as we pursue our goal to deliver superior investment performance in a safe, responsible and cost-efficient manner, whilst continuing to meet the evolving needs of our partners and clients," he added.<br><br>In a statement from LGIM, a spokesperson thanked Onuekwusi for his decade at the firm and wished him "every success" in his new role.<br><br>"We thank him for his contribution to LGIM in terms of his investment leadership and as an advocate and ambassador for diversity and inclusion in the City and beyond," the statement read.<br><br>"Since early 2022, Justin led the development and external positioning of LGIMs broader investment proposition for advisers and wealth managers, alongside his existing multi-asset role."<br><br>Following his departure, LGIM CIO Sonja Laud will continue to oversee the wider strategy, while head of multi-asset funds John Roe will increase his focus on multi-index.<br><br>Andrzej Pioch will take on the role of lead manager for the multi-index range.</div>

<p>Legal & Generals asset management business has made four new hires in Asia.<br><br>Legal & General Asset Management has made four new hires in its Singapore office in a push to grow its wealth business in the Asia region.<br><br>Russell Huang has been appointed as head of wholesale distribution for southeast Asia and Aaron Kwan has been named as head of wholesale distribution for greater China.<br><br>Huang, a 15-year industry veteran, joined the firm from UBS, where he was executive director advising regional clients on portfolio asset allocation and managed solutions.<br><br>Kwan joined from HSBC asset management where he spent 16 years, most recently as director of retail distribution.<br><br>Both Huang and Kwan will be reporting to Gerald Koh, head of wholesale for Asia (ex-Japan), based in Singapore.<br><br>The firm also hired Choong Yew Thong as a research analyst in its Singapore office for its credit research team.<br><br>He was most recently a quantitative analyst at Singapores sovereign wealth fund GIC and will be tasked with deepening its regional investment research coverage.<br><br>Kate Lim was also hired as an ESG analyst to support the firms regional stewardship and investment engagement activities, reporting to Trista Chen, head of investment stewardship for Asia ex-Japan.<br><br>Natasha Mora, managing director for Asia said: "These four appointments reflect our continued expansion and long-term business commitment to the region, which presents tremendous growth opportunities for our firm."<br><br>"These additions to our experienced team support us in deepening our capabilities to deliver for our growing client base."</p>

Russell is currently the Head of Wholesale Distribution, South East Asia at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), a position he has held since July 2024. Prior to this role, he served as the Director of Investment Consultant Managed Solutions at Credit Suisse from August 2021 to June 2024. Before that, he was a Director of Managed Investments - Advisory & Sales at Bank of Singapore from January 2016 to July 2021. His previous experience includes roles as an Investment Counsellor at Citi from June 2014 to December 2015, and as an Investment Advisor at Julius Baer from January 2011 to June 2014. Additionally, he worked at DBS Bank in the COO Office, DBS Private Bank from 2008 to 2010. Russell has completed courses in Fintech and Artificial Intelligence in Finance at CFTE - Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship.

Yew is currently a Research Analyst at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), a position he has held since August 2024. Prior to this role, he served as a Quantitative Strategist at GIC from November 2022 to August 2024. His experience includes working at NN Investment Partners as a Trader/Analyst starting in December 2016, where he was later promoted to Credit Analyst before leaving in November 2022. Before that, he spent 3.5 years as an Associate in Fixed Income Trading at The Toronto-Dominion Bank from June 2013 to November 2016. Yew also gained experience as a Research Intern at NSL Ltd (Singapore) from December 2010 to March 2011. Additionally, he interned at Dulwich College Management between May 2010 and July 2010.
