Tien currently holds positions as a distinguished professor of the practice and external fellow at the Georgia Institute of Technology and as senior fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. Tien previously served as the Senate confirmed Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from June 2021 to July 2023. Prior to serving at DHS, Tien was a senior executive at Citigroup for a decade, serving in chief operating officer roles. He also served in three other presidential administrations in leadership roles as an active-duty U.S. Army officer in seven different U.S. states, three countries and three combat tours.

John K. Tien, Jr. currently serves as the Deputy Secretary at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, a role he have held since 2021. Prior to this, he held several positions at Citigroup and its subsidiaries from 2011 to 2021. These roles included Chief Administrative Officer and Chief of Staff for Citis Global Consumer Operations and Technology, Head of Operations and Customer Service for Citi Retail Services Mastercard co-brand portfolio, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer for Macys private label and co-brand credit card portfolio for Citi Retail Services, and Head of Business and Process Re-Engineering Transformation for Citigroups U.S. Consumer Bank. 

Before joining Citigroup, John served in various roles within the National Security Council at The White House from 2008 to 2011, including Senior Director for Afghanistan and Pakistan and Director for Iraq. He was also a White House Fellow in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative from 1998 to 1999. 

Their career began in the U.S. Army, where John served as an officer from 1987 to 2011, retiring with the rank of Colonel. Education details were not provided in the CV.

David Andrews has been named as chief solutions architect at Science Applications International Corp., according to the executives LinkedIn post Wednesday. Andrews joined the Reston, Virginia-based provider of government services and information technology support after spending the last eight years at Peraton. At Peraton, Andrews served as senior director of strategy and was a member of the implementation and modernization project team supporting the $2.8 billion Special Operations Forces IT Enterprise Contract 3 Enterprise Operations & Maintenance for U.S. Special Operations Command. In this role, he oversaw the overall design of the application in IT services and mapped the clients business needs then translated them into technical requirements. Andrews held several positions at Hewlett-Packard prior to moving to Peraton. He joined HP in 2003 as senior network engineer before serving as enterprise data center service delivery manager and as IT solutions architect. His career also includes time serving as field service engineer at Verizon and as communications maintenance chief of the Army Special Operations Command. The executive earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of Phoenix.

In this role, DeCamp will be responsible for overseeing strategic planning and operational performance, with a focus on enhancing SAICs ability to deliver solutions to federal civilian agencies.
